BIOGRAPHY:

After obtaining a degree in Chemical Sciences (06/20/1997) by the UAM, I starting working at the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemicals in May 1998, under a research project, financed by Repsol S.A. that lasted 10 years. Thanks to this collaboration I obtained the Doctorate in Chemical Sciences from the UAM, in December 2007 under the PhD program of applied physical chemistry, obtaining the highest Cum Laude qualification.
In 2008, I started a research project financed by SOLVAY S.A. oriented towards the same line of research “Direct synthesis of H2O2 from H2 and O2”, which lasted 5 years. As result of these two collaborations, most publications have been obtained (a large number of them are from the first quartile (Q1)) and patents, which appear in my CV.
During those 15 years and in parallel, I have also actively participated in several collaborations with other companies and universities.
In the last 5 years I have participated, in a new project, with funding from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (R + D + i projects, Challenges of the Society, of the National Plan), which is based on the development of new microstructured catalysts by 3D printing, consisting of transition metal phosphides supported for the production of green diesel from residual oils by hydrotreatment.
I have extensive experience in:
(i) synthesis of catalysts by various methods (impregnation, coprecipitation, sol-gel …
(ii) characterization by various spectroscopic techniques (XPS, FT-iR, TXRF), DRX, N2 adsorption-desorption (ABET), programmed temperature techniques (TPR / TPO / TPD) …
(iii) kinetic studies, commissioning and use of various reactors to evaluate the catalytic activity in the gas phase and the liquid phase, analyzing the reaction products by gas, liquid and mass spectrometry chromatography.
I have extensive teaching experience, having taught several courses in Gas Chromatography and XPS.
