Biography
Nicolas Brun received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Bordeaux (France) in 2010. Then, he spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Germany). In 2013, he was awarded a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Kyoto University from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and was recruited as a CNRS researcher at the Institute Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM, France). His research interests concern porous carbon materials and hybrid carbon nanomaterials for catalysis, carbon capture, electrochemical energy storage and environmental remediation. Since 2007, he has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 1 book, 6 book chapters and 6 patents, leading to c.a. 3000 citations (h-index 27).
